Department: ARS - Medical
Location: Winchester, VA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5a-1p

ARS Treatment Centers specialize in outpatient treatment of those addicted to opiates. Our clinic is one of ten locations in the mid-Atlantic region that provides specialized outpatient services through medication-assisted treatment.

Position Description

The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering compassionate support and service to our clients. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing triage and direct care to assigned clients under direct supervision. The Medical Assistant will work directly with RN and DON. The Medical Assistant will adhere to the mission and vision of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate support and attention to clients.
  • Accurately print medication labels and apply to medication bottles under direct supervision of RN or DON.
  • Record medical histories and other information for medical records.
  • Triage and direct care to assigned clients under direct supervision including height/ weight and taking vitals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from certificate program.
  • Some understanding of substance abuse.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills.
